I attended the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup on 7th November 2023. The venue of the event was Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Department Of Chemistry, Near GUSEC, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
As the name suggests, the event focused on Digital Marketing. In the event, industry experts presented the latest advancements in digital marketing. They also held the Q&A and networking session for the attendees.

Experts & working professionals here are always on top of the latest industry developments. They share and push each other, promoting collaborative growth and a learning environment.
With this article, I’m trying to document my event experience and share my learnings.

Why Did I Attend The Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM)?
I missed a previous meetup, I didn’t want to miss it this time. When you meet and listen to new people you gain a different perspective. This kind of event provides you with that opportunity.
When I came across the post for an upcoming event, I registered for it. Registration is completely free. I also encouraged two of my friends to do the same. I went there, listened to the speakers, and observed them. I took notes and kept what could add value to my knowledge.

How was the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM)?
The event was separated into three parts. First was a presentation by speakers, followed by a Q&A session, and ending with networking.
A. Speaker’s Presentations
1. Session by Amit Panchal
The event started at 7:00 PM and sadly we reached late around 7:30 PM. So, I missed the Initial presentation where Amit Panchal discussed Social Media and SEO updates.

“Amit Panchal delved into the latest Google updates, including the November 2023 Core Update, Google October 2023 Core Update, and tips on adding social media links to your Google Business profiles.”

B. Q&A Session
After the presentation part finished, a Q&A session was hosted so that individuals could ask their queries to get a solution. Many individuals engaged in the session.
Some of the questions that I can remember were asked About the
- The activity section is shown in GMB listings for the travel category.
- Questions related to optimizing the ad campaigns in eCommerce for clients.
- Even though the individual was doing everything right their rankings and clicks were constantly dropping in Google.
To most of the questions, speakers gave a solution. Some questions required further analysis so, they assured individuals to connect them personally and find a solution to their problem.
C. Networking Session
Networking followed the informative sessions. Despite my goal to meet new people and build connections, a bout of flu left me reserved. I plan to engage more actively with fellow participants next time, sharing insights. Refreshments, including snacks and tea, are available for attendees.

What did I learn from the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM)?
I learned many things, but here is the one thing that I implemented and saw the results. Amit Jivani did not give a presentation during the event, but he did share a few words.

Amit P. Jivani
Founder: Simprosys Infomedia
Amit P. Jivani has been part of the digital marketing industry since 2011. He is a businessman and political thinker overflowing with ideas to make life easier for everyone. With his expertise, he has turned his company, into one of the fastest-growing SAAS business agencies.
“In the last few months, many things have happened that have changed the digital marketing space. Let me redefine the definition of a digital marketer. You are not a digital marketer but a content marketer using digital platforms to do marketing.”
After the event, I decided I should create a LinkedIn post using what I learned. I relied on content. I tried a bit of storytelling and created a post (A lengthy post). I’m not stating it was some rocket science, it’s a simple post of what I felt using storytelling.
My LinkedIn post resulted in the maximum number of impressions and connection requests I received through LinkedIn so far. These numbers might not seem so huge if you look at them individually. But if you just change your perspective a bit and look at the growth in terms of percentage then you will understand what I am saying.
Just one post resulted in a 61,000% Increase in Impressions and, a 614% increase in followers. (If you can sustain these numbers, you can build thought leadership eventually)
This was my learning.
Why You Should Attend the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM)?
While writing this article I was doing research on Ahmedabad city as a startup ecosystem. I was confused with should i exaggerate a reason why you should attend the event or keep it simple. Let me give you both.
Here is the exaggerated reason,
Ahmedabad is one of the best cities functioning as a hub for many established and emerging startups. When it comes to the best startup ecosystems in India, Ahmedabad is among the top 10 cities.
As more companies emerge, the competition increases for established companies as well. Companies have business goals to achieve and they require qualified talents to achieve them. The common factor that both of them have is a need for digital marketing professionals. Because digital marketers can help achieve these goals, be it more website traffic, more leads, more brand awareness, etc.
So, to be their preferred choice, you have to become an expert at what you do. To become an expert, you have to learn as much as you can, and you have to stay on top of the industry developments. Attending the events can help you with that and the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM) is such an event you should attend.
Here is the simple reason,
If you are a digital marketer from Ahmedabad. You are working on your skills. You want to meet like-minded people. Then you should attend the Ahmedabad Digital Marketing Meetup (ADMM).
